Childcare cost in either a KiBiZ day-care center or with a childminder may be subsidized depending on the municipality and the parents' income. Childcare vouchers are contributions from the municipalities to parents and legal guardians who have enrolled their child in a day-care center and who are eligible for benefits. For care in a childminder setting, the subsidy contribution is calculated and processed directly by the KiBiZ office.

Subsidisation
Childcare for children residing in the following Zug municipitalities are subsidised: Baar, Cham, Hünenberg, Menzingen, Neuheim, Oberägeri, Risch, Steinhausen, Walchwil, and Zug.
Parents benefit from subsidised care for the actual hours of care (excluding meals, overnight stays, expenses, etc.). The subsidised amount depends on the income of the legal guardians and can be subtracted from the bill directly through KiBiZ.
